My best advice is to contact your PA state legislators and ask them to submit a bill to increase the SREC requirements for PA utilities. Two bills were pending before the recess of the last session but were not passed.

What is the newbie to solar to do now? We were sold by the installer an ever increasing price for the sale of SREC's. Having just installed in 10/2010 we have 3 to sell and the promise of very little to get for them.

Please advise.

In most cases I do not approve of spam but this might be useful to someone looking to sell SRECS so I am leaving it. Be aware I have not researched this so I DO NOT endorse it.

The fall in PA SREC prices has been a disappointment to many solar energy system owners who have not locked into a fixed price SREC contract and are subject to the whims of the SREC spot market. (On the other hand, several solar system owners have already locked in SREC prices as high as $303/SREC and are feeling really good about their decision).

Current solar energy system owners and prospective system owners still have the option to lock into a 3 or 5 year (Sol Annuity) SREC contract with Sol Systems and guarantee their SREC price for years to come. For system owners who prefer to collect SREC revenues immediately, there is an option called Sol Upfront. These SREC options are possible for small system owners because Sol Systems aggregates SRECs and enters large scale multi-year contracts with energy suppliers and utilities.
